About The Regional Expansion Officer (North Africa)

Key responsibilities

  • Be part of different data science projects and participate in solving real-world business problems with Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques
  • Enable clients to scale data and AI across their businesses
  • Design REST-based APIs that can be accessed securely from web and client application
  • Help driving the development of data science practices across Acredius teams and departments
  • Run continuous improvement of data science, data engineering practices and tools to create world-class capabilities

Candidate profile

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, or Data-related fields
  • Some experience in designing, developing and implementing AI/ML models (supervised, unsupervised)
  • Some hands-on experience in Python, R, Scala other similar languages
  • Experience in statistics and data analysis
  • Familiar with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Keras, and Tensorflow
  • Skilled in one of the following programming languages  Java, C#, C++
  • Prior knowledge of web-scrapping (selenium, BeautifulSoup, etc)
  • Experience with NoSQL & relational databases. Ideally good knowledge of automation tooling
  • Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and startup mindset. Humility and engagement are strong values

Good to have (A plus but not a must)

  • Finance background (balance sheet analysis, banking tools, credit risk scoring, etc)
  • Reinforced learning

Key responsibilities

  • Manage credit and fraud risks with the use of portfolio analytics, data mining and modelling techniques
  • Execute regular and ad-hoc portfolio monitoring reports and analysis 
  • Define, argument and implement risk optimization measures and action steps
  • Assess the credit and fraud relevant risks, develop adequate controls and control mechanisms
  • Develop, monitor and maintain credit risk models (underwriting, provisioning, collection)
  • Initiate innovative risk assessment solutions 
  • Be the go-to person for any credit risk assessment related topic
  • Manage and coach team members when needed

This role would report directly to the Commercial Strategy lead, sitting under the Commercial umbrella (Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Commercial Strategy).

Key Responsibilities

  • Execution of marketing analytics and ROI analysis to understand the impact of marketing and loyalty campaigns on Customer Lifetime Value, using control groups, test and learn tactics and advanced measurement techniques
  • Building recommendations for retailer utilisation of our core product to increase the value of their customer base, using customer behavioural insight and performance data analysis (app downloads, active users, frequency, ATV, CLV, basket analysis etc.)
  • Developing new measurement approaches to evaluate user experience with our consumer and retailer products
  • Supporting the development of new segmentation, Customer Lifetime Value, RFM analysis models for integration into campaign reporting and our retailer dashboards
  • Work with our Customer Success teams to provide actionable insight to enhance the performance of retailer campaigns (pre, during and post)
